Research Criteria

Details of research will only be included in the online database if they meet the following criteria:

University Research

When the research was undertaken, at least one of the key researchers involved was an employee of, or a student at, a university based in New Zealand.

The research must have clear development relevance.

The research must be of a substantive nature. If it is student research, this will normally mean that the research is either a Masters thesis or PhD dissertation (or that it is an article based on thesis or dissertation work).

NGO Research

The NGO producing the research must be based in New Zealand.

The research must have clear development relevance.

The research must be substantive and must display methodological rigour. The research process must have involved primary research or significant secondary research and sources should be clearly cited as in academic work. Promotional material and information about organisations will not be placed on the database.
